After reading the reviews I decided to purchase a size 10 rather then a 9 and I am happy that I did. There is some room but nothing that makes it impossible to walk in them. The heel is very comfortable and seems to have some cushion to it. Had I purchased my actual size I know I would have to return them. I like that they can be tightened with the laces as well and not just there for design. Very happy with these boots!
